With more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Joe Benvenuto provides oversight and management of LIFTbuild’s operations and operating partner relationships.

Joe began his career growing in the ranks of our self-perform services. Working through all supervisory roles provided him detailed knowledge of the importance of project safety, productivity, and quality control. He has a long history of building craft labor relationships and subcontractor negotiations. Joe plays an active role in labor and research management organizations in an effort to improve the construction industry and serves on the AGC of Michigan negotiating committees for the Operating Engineers, Laborers and Carpenters. In addition to collective bargaining negotiations, Joe is an active member of the Construction Industry Institute (CII), currently sitting on the Board of Advisors Committee.

Joe’s knowledge of craft labor execution and relationships have proven to be invaluable. Under his leadership, our self-perform trades and projects have made numerous improvements in the areas of safety culture, productivity monitoring, and construction quality through Rework Reduction Programs and quality procedures. Joe recently completed Harvard Business School’s Executive Leadership Development Program.

Joe gets construction. Through his strong subcontractor relationships and understanding of procurement and logistics through industrial and commercial construction, Joe leads LIFTbuild’s efforts as our Builder and Facilitator.
